Bio

Chris Loftin is our new Director of Athletics at Lamar Community College. Originally from Roanoke, Va, Loftin comes to Lamar from William Jewell College outside Kansas City, Missouri where he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations. Before William Jewell College Loftin served as the Assistant Athletic Director at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas.

Before entering athletic administration, Loftin spent most of his career in sales. First in orthopedic sales, instructing surgeons on trauma and joint replacement surgeries and later in automotive sales and finance management.

Loftin graduated from Virgina Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Sports Management and from the University of Kansas with an M.S.Ed. in Sports Management. While at VCU, he was a three-time National College Lacrosse League All-American, and captain of two NCLL All-Star games. Loftin played a total of three sports (soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse) at two colleges (Hampden-Sydney and VCU).
