Bio

Doug Seigle enters his first season as the Head Coach of the new Runnin Lopes men’s soccer team. Seigle has over 20 years of college coaching experience including 11 years at the NJCAA Division I level.

 Seigle comes to Lamar Community College from Colorado Northwestern Community College where he was the Head Coach for the Spartan men’s soccer team for 4 seasons and earned the soccer program’s first win in school history. During his four seasons at CNCC, Seigle had 7 student athletes earn all-conference awards and 7 student athletes earn NJCAA All-Academic team awards.

 Before coming to Colorado, Coach Seigle coached seven years in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Northeast CC and as the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach at Indian Hills CC where coach Seigle was named ICCAC Men’s Soccer Coach of the year (2010). Prior to Indian Hills, he coached at five other colleges including three years as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at NCAA Division II, Montana State University-Billings. In addition to his coaching experience, Seigle played soccer professionally in several leagues including stints in the USL and EISL as well as time with different Major League Soccer (MLS) reserve teams.

Doug Seigle is a graduate of Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI, where he earned a Liberal Arts Degree and is a member of the Viterbo athletic wall of fame. He is currently working to complete his master’s degree in Sports Leadership from Concordia University-Chicago. Seigle is from Fayetteville, GA where he graduated from Fayette County High School and is also a member of the FCHS hall of fame.
