LCC Golf Update: Northeastern, McCook, & Eastern Wyoming
NJC Invitational
On September 10-11, the Runnin' Lopes Golf Team traveled to Sterling, Colorado, to compete in the NJC Invitational Golf Tournament. The tournament was held at the Northeastern 18 Golf Course.
Josh Lovett led the Runnin' Lopes team and tied for 8th with a two-day score of 152. Jeremy Minnick tied for 22nd with a 161, Austin Matheny tied for 30th with a 175, Mathew Palmer placed 32nd with a 187, and Colton Wineberg placed 34th with a 214.

Eastern Wyoming won the tournament with a team score of 592, followed by McCook in second with 605. Central Wyoming came in third with 615, Otero in fourth with 628, Northeastern in fifth with 641, and Lamar in sixth with 675.
McCook Invitational
Runnin' Lopes Golf recently competed in the McCook Invitational held on September 3-4 at the Heritage Hill Golf Course in McCook, Nebraska.
LCC Individual Results: 21st - Josh Lovett, 92-88-180; 23rd - Matthew Palmer, 94-94-188; 25th - Austin Matheny, 97-92-189; 28th - Colton Wineberg, 107-102-209; Jeremy Minnick, disqualified
Eastern Wyoming won the tournament with a team score of 625. Second place went to McCook with 639, followed by Central Wyoming in third with 656, Otero in fourth with 667, Northeastern in fifth with 709, and Lamar Community College in sixth with 722.
The team looks to improve their standings in the next tournament as they head to Sterling, Colorado, for the NJC Invitational on September 10-11.
Eastern Wyoming College Invitational
The Runnin' Lopes Golf Team took fifth place in the Eastern Wyoming College Invitational held on August 27-28 in Torrington, Wyoming.
The Lopes were led by Jeremy Minnick who tied for 3rd place with a two-day combined score of 149. Josh Lovett also placed, coming in 13th with a score of 160. Austin Matheny scored 176, Matt Palmer scored 182, and Colton Wineberg scored 203.

Eastern Wyoming won their home tournament with a score of 597. McCook took second place with 620, followed by Otero with 635, Central Wyoming with 638, Lamar with 667, and Northeastern with 678.
