LCC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams Holding Camp July 22-25, 2019

Lamar Community College Head Men's Basketball Coach Rian Stubbs and new Head Women's Basketball Coach Kellen Fernetti are holding LCC's annual basketball camp for both boys and girls again this summer. The dates of the camp are July 22-25, 2019, at the Wellness Center on the campus of Lamar Community College.

There will be three total sessions of camp during this camp week. Grades K-6 boys and girls will be from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Grades 7-12 boys and girls will have their camp session from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. New to camp this year is a Shooting Camp for boys and girls in grades 7-12 from 3:30 p.m.-4: 30 p.m. All three camps are designed to work on the fundamentals of the game of basketball and having a good time working on these fundamentals.

"I really enjoy basketball camp week, as I am able to work with so many kids that want to learn and get better at the game of basketball. While fundamentals will be stressed during this week of camp, there will also be plenty of fun and joy in the gym, with a lot of energy from our camp staff. I'm also excited about the addition of the shooting camp to our camp schedule. This will be a great way for kids to really focus on the fundamentals and techniques of shooting the basketball," Coach Kellen Fernetti said.
