Lopes get the W over CSU Club

The Lamar Community College women's basketball team picked up a win over the Colorado State University Club team on Monday, November 27.

The game started with LCC's Armani Robbins winning the tip, but both teams took a while to put points on the board. After several turnovers, freshman Hanna Diaz took a three-point shot to start Lamar's run against CSU.

LCC ran the game the way they had intended, getting good shots off and playing good transition defense. The Lopes led by 26 points at the half, a lead they built on in the second to win handily with a score of 81-51.

LCC's Sam Caruth led the team's scoring with 20 points, followed by Armani Robbins and Iva Belosevic who each had a double-double. Robbins put up fourteen points and got twelve rebounds, while Belosevic got thirteen points and twelve rebounds.

The Lopes will finish November with a rematch against the Adams State University JV team in Alamosa on November 28.
