The Lamar Community College women's basketball team traveled to Hutchinson, Kansas, to face the Blue Dragons.
The game started with the Dragons team scoring right off of the tip. The Lopes were slow out of the start, falling behind the tough Hutchinson team
The Dragons outscored Lamar in three straight quarters, but LCC once again came fighting back in the fourth. In the final quarter, the Lopes started to show some urgency and began to look for ways to score, putting up 22 points to HCC's 20, but could not pull through with a win.
Hutchinson Community College beat Lamar 82-45.
Iva Belosevic led the Lopes in scoring with twelve points and rebounds with five.
Next on the Lopes' schedule is the Northeastern Classic hosted by Northeastern Junior College. They'll face Casper College and the Colorado Ballers in tournament play on November 10-11.
