Lady Lopes Fall Short Against Trinidad State

The Lady Lopes put up a good fight when they took on the Trinidad State Lady Trojans on Tuesday, February 9, but fell just short of victory.

The Lopes came out strong in the beginning of the game, scoring first and building a five point lead before the Trojans could score.  At one point in the first quarter, the Lady Lopes would command an eight point lead.

The Lady Lopes showed scrappy play and tough defense throughout the game but were unable to keep up with TSJC, finishing the game with a score of 69-59.

Offensively, the Lopes had three players in double-digit scoring: Edina Krusko led the team with 15 points, followed closely by Jamie Clawson with 14 and RJ Kuhn with 10.  RJ Kuhn and Kaylan Miller also had four assists each.

Jamie Clawson had an impressive night on the boards pulling in 16 rebounds, seven on offense and nine on defense.

The Lady Lopes hit the road this weekend as they travel to Western Nebraska on Friday and Eastern Wyoming on Saturday.
