Hoey wins bull riding at Antelope Stampede

Lamar Community College's Nate Hoey claimed the top spot in the bull riding event at the annual Antelope Stampede held October 5-7 at the Prowers County Fairgrounds in Lamar, Colorado.

Hoey was the only competitor to have two qualifying rides.  He earned 74 points in the Sunday short go, but his top ride of the weekend was in the Saturday Performance when he earned 84 points on the bull Sting.

With this win, Hoey takes over the first place position in the Central Rocky Mountain Region with a total of 300 points.

The team travels next to the Laramie County Community College Shawn Dubie Memorial on October 12-14 for the final rodeo of the fall season.
