Men’s basketball falls to Clarendon College

The Lamar Community College men's basketball took a second loss to Clarendon College last night at the LCC Wellness Center, with a final score of 86-75.

After taking a loss on the road to Clarendon, the Lopes team was seeking retribution on their home court.  Early in the game, LCC allowed Clarendon seven unanswered points. Turnovers plagued the Lopes team throughout the game (16), and they were never able to make up the deficit.

Although the Lopes outscored Clarendon by one point in the second half, they lost to the Texas team by 11 points, 86-75.

LCC's top scorers in the game were Justin Holliday (14), Jubrile Belo (12), Aaris Bonds (12), and Richard Caldwell (10).  Holliday also contributed 10 rebounds and Sam Boone chipped in 9.

The LCC team will host another Texas squad, Frank Phillips College, this Friday, November 17, at 7:00pm.
