Former Lope Rosenstein signs with Twins

Former Lamar Community College baseball player Joe Rosenstein signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota Twins organization and played for their Rookie Ball affiliate this summer.

Rosenstein, a 6-foot-7 right-handed pitcher from Arvada pitched nine innings for the Twins of the Gulf Coast League in July and August. He earned a save and struck out four in six appearances.

Rosenstein pitched for the Lopes during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons before playing for two years at Washington State University.

As a sophomore, Rosenstein went 7-1 with a 3.77 ERA, 60 strikeouts and 32 walks in 59.2 innings with Lopes. He was named to the All-Region IX First Team.
