Four Lopes sign to play on

Four Lamar Community College sophomores signed national letters of intent to continue their baseball careers at Colorado universities.

Pitcher Ryan Hoff signed with Colorado School of Mines, pitcher Johnathan Ramirez signed with Colorado State University -- Pueblo, and outfielder Owen Reynolds and pitcher Zach Sundine both signed with Metro State University of Denver.

Hoff went 3-2, struck out 25 and walked 14 in 33 innings as a freshman in the 2016-17 season.

Ramirez finished his freshman season with a 3-0 record, 36 strikeouts and six walks in 28.2 innings.

Reynolds hit .278 with a .326 on-base percentage, four home runs, nine doubles, 10 walks and 23 strikeouts in 158 at-bats.

Sundine was 2-0 with seven strikeouts and eight walks in 8.2 innings.
